Our Program

Our Program

Our program will be implemented in the following sectors: essential skills for the blind; computer (information and technology); basic employment skills; soft skills, and building confidence. We primarily focus on practical learning and experiential learning.

1. Essential Skills for the Blind

This program focuses on enhancing the crucial skills of orientation and mobility, as well as daily living skills, for individuals with visual impairment.

Participants will engage in practical training: using a white cane, finding paths and landmarks, and navigating alongside sighted individuals. Daily living skills include dressing smartly, maintaining eye contact, and performing chores like cooking and cleaning.

Field trip programs provide real-world experience to build confidence and independence.

2. Computer, Information and Technology

Participants learn essential computer and IT skills: using speech synthesizers, keyboard shortcuts, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, AI for research, and social media for personal and professional use.

3. Essential Employable Skills

This program covers communication, public speaking, basic business skills, budgeting, bookkeeping, banking, official letter writing, content creation, time management, and self-reliance. It prepares visually impaired individuals for employment or self-employment.

4. Soft Skills and Exposure Learning

This program develops leadership, personal branding, critical thinking, teamwork, and emotional intelligence. Participants meet successful visually impaired professionals and visit organizations for practical exposure to boost confidence and soft skills.

Impact of the Program

Equipping visually impaired individuals with skills in mobility, IT, employment, and soft skills enhances independence, opens employment opportunities, and builds confidence. It fosters inclusion and prepares participants for meaningful contributions to society.
